Bible Resources

  1.  Great Treasures: A free online resource for linguistic studies in the NT. It's not as sophisticated as Logos but it's a free substitution that serves its purpose.
  2. HTMLBIBLE:  A similar resource as Great Treasures for beginners in linguistic studies of the NT. Again, not as sophisticated as Logos, but a helpful resource for us poor folk.
  3. GreekLatinAudio: Listen to the NT read in Greek or Latin. This resource also includes some audio readings of Genesis and select passages from the OT read in Hebrew.
  4. Early Christian Writings: Includes the NT, Apocrypha, Gnostic Writings, and Church Fathers. You can spend a lot of time on this one.
  5. Main Events in the History of Jerusalem: Here is a helpful timeline of Jerusalem from beginning to 1994.
  6. The Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts: Fun place to see what is being done on contemporary NT studies. Also fun to see old manuscripts of the NT.
  7. NT Pod: Podcast about the New Testament and Christian Origins. Condensed comment from an academic perspective for everyone interested in historical approaches to the New Testament. By Mark Goodacre, Associate Professor of New Testament, Department of Religion, Duke University.
